As a vice president of AIS, you'll play a crucial role in representing our organization with various exciting duties and responsibilities. You will have the opportunity to interface with our sponsors, the university, and your peers as a leader and liaison. Though each Vice-President position demands a unique set of responsibilities, all Vice-Presidents have the following commitments:

​

  • Weekly or biweekly executive board meetings

  • Weekly or biweekly meetings with your committee 

  • Required attendance at all GBMs

The Vice President of Membership holds a pivotal role in fostering a vibrant and inclusive community within our organization. Responsible for the planning and execution of social events, formal gatherings, and road trips, you will play a crucial role in building a sense of camaraderie among our members. As the key architect of our community engagement strategy, you will focus on creating memorable experiences that strengthen connections and enrich the overall membership experience.

 

​We are seeking a candidate with a passion for community building, strong organizational skills, and a creative approach to event planning. Experience in coordinating social and formal events, as well as managing road trips, is highly desirable.

VP Corporate Relations

Open Position (1)

The Vice President of Corporate Relations plays a crucial role in our relationship with UF Business Career Services, the organization of the ISOM Mixers, and building relationships with our corporate sponsors. This position requires dedicated attendance at all planned meetings and maintaining a professional and prompt interaction with recruiters and other external stakeholders. 

 

We are seeking a candidate with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate should be adept at building and maintaining professional relationships with recruiters, demonstrating a commitment to the representation and promotion of the ISOM program.

VP Consulting

Open Position (1)

The Vice Presidents of Consulting will lead the Association for Information Systems’ Consulting Committee, which delivers semester-long pro bono projects for nonprofits and local organizations. They will be responsible for developing the structure, resources, and mentorship that enable project managers and analysts to successfully complete client engagements.

 

The ideal candidates for this role are strong communicators, strategic thinkers, and supportive leaders who enjoy problem-solving and helping others grow. They have a passion for consulting, data, and technology, and thrive in collaborative, fast-paced environments.

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Committee Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to project managers, ensuring they have the tools and support needed to lead their teams effectively.

  • Client and Partner Relations: Coordinate with external partners to identify project opportunities and ensure strong professional relationships.

  • Training & Development: Organize weekly consulting meetings, committee socials, onboarding sessions, and skill-building initiatives for analysts and project managers.

  • Program Improvement: Work with the executive board to refine recruitment, project assignment, and committee processes for continuous growth.
