As a vice president of AIS, you'll play a crucial role in representing our organization with various exciting duties and responsibilities. You will have the opportunity to interface with our sponsors, the university, and your peers as a leader and liaison. Though each Vice-President position demands a unique set of responsibilities, all Vice-Presidents have the following commitments:

​

  • Weekly or biweekly executive board meetings

  • Weekly or biweekly meetings with your committee 

  • Required attendance at all GBMs

VP Marketing

Open Positions (1-2)

The Vice President of Marketing will oversee all branding, communications, and promotional efforts for the organization. They will be responsible for managing the AIS brand across digital platforms, coordinating marketing campaigns for events, and leading a committee to develop creative content that engages current and prospective members.

​

The ideal candidate for this role is detail-oriented, creative, and strategic. They have strong communication and design skills, understand digital marketing trends, and can effectively manage multiple projects at once. They take initiative and have a results-driven mindset as they continue AIS marketing initiatives such as:

 

  • Digital and Social Media Strategy: Manage AIS’s online presence across all platforms, including the website, newsletter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Ensure consistent branding and timely updates that highlight events, achievements, and opportunities for members.

  • Graphic Design and Branding: Oversee the creation of all graphics and visual materials distributed by AIS, maintaining a cohesive and professional image that aligns with the organization’s values and mission.​

  • Content Planning and Analytics: Track engagement across digital channels, analyze metrics, and adjust strategies to maximize reach and effectiveness.

VP Professional Development

Open Position (1)

The Vice President of Professional Development will oversee all events and programs that enhance members’ professional and technical skills. They will be responsible for creating a committee to plan and host workshops as well as create connections with companies to develop Apprenticeship and Mentorship programs. 

 

The ideal candidate for this role is familiar with industry trends, tech-savvy, and is a strong delegator. They have a passion for technology and innovation and a get-it-done attitude as they continue two AIS initiatives:

  • Corporate Mentorship Program: AIS members will be matched with a corporate mentor in their desired field and will have biweekly meetings with their assigned mentor. Mentors will be recruited through AIS and UF alumni networks and by corporate sponsors. 

  • Apprenticeship Program: AIS members will have the opportunity to create a project with the assistance of someone in industry. By the end of the semester, the selected AIS members will have a personal project or a company related project to list on their resume. 

VP Consulting

Open Position (2)

The Vice Presidents of Consulting will lead the Association for Information Systems’ Consulting Committee, which delivers semester-long pro bono projects for nonprofits and local organizations. They will be responsible for developing the structure, resources, and mentorship that enable project managers and analysts to successfully complete client engagements.

 

The ideal candidates for this role are strong communicators, strategic thinkers, and supportive leaders who enjoy problem-solving and helping others grow. They have a passion for consulting, data, and technology, and thrive in collaborative, fast-paced environments.

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Committee Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to project managers, ensuring they have the tools and support needed to lead their teams effectively.

  • Client and Partner Relations: Coordinate with external partners to identify project opportunities and ensure strong professional relationships.

  • Training & Development: Organize weekly consulting meetings, committee socials, onboarding sessions, and skill-building initiatives for analysts and project managers.

  • Program Improvement: Work with the executive board to refine recruitment, project assignment, and committee processes for continuous growth.

VP Treasury

Open Position (1)

The Vice President of Treasury is responsible for managing the club's financial operations. An ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and organized, have a general understanding of financial management principles, and have an interest in accounting information systems. 

 

Responsibilities for this position include: managing the club's financial accounts, creating and managing budgets, monitoring expenses, and ensuring that financial records are accurate and up-to-date.

 

The VP of Treasury will work closely with other VPs to ensure that budgets are aligned with overall organizational goals. This role is also responsible for collecting membership dues and managing the financial ledger, Application, ML Pipelines and Supabase database. The VP of Treasury will also serve as the point of contact for pending transactions and communications with the MS-ISOM department and other sponsors.
